Well, except what you should have for breakfast. Decide that one for yourself.
So, yeah, FARM-Africa; they're great, they are. No, really, they actually really are!
FARM-Africa is an international organisation that works in partnership with herders and farmers to help them develop sustainable farming practices and to make the most of the natural resources available to them.
The money I have raised has gone go towards the Kenya Dairy Goat and Capacity Building Project in Kitui and Mwingi. Two thirds of Kenya is arid and over half of the population live in abject poverty. FARM-Africa works with the poorest households in each community, particularly focusing on female- and orphan-headed families.
The charity was started in 1985 by Sir Michael Wood and David Campbell, initially promoting the camel (the "two humps are better than none" campaign - I made that up) and then the goat ("sheep are over-rated" - and that). Over the years they have developed into having local offices in many African nations, and keep on doing work that is pretty good. They've even got Michael Palin as a patron - they must be great! (And he even sent me a message about the row!)
Click here to visit their website, which will actually give you loads of useful information, rather than the inane drivel that's likely to come out of my mouth. However, if you're simply so impressed that you want to get your wallet out and donate right away, click here to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year, I raised over £20,000 for FARM-Africa by rowing solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
I'm now trying to raise even more, by cycling over 6,000 miles to visit the project in Kenya. Click here to get involved.
